Ryomen Sukuna, often simply called Sukuna, is a powerful and malevolent cursed spirit from the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. Known as the undisputed King of Curses, Sukuna existed over a thousand years ago as a powerful human sorcerer before transforming into a cursed spirit after death. He is incredibly powerful and wicked, possessing immense cursed energy and a wide array of deadly techniques.

Sukuna's first appearance in the anime is in the first episode of Jujutsu Kaisen, titled "Ryomen Sukuna," when Yuji Itadori swallows one of Sukuna's cursed fingers to protect his friends from other curses. This act binds Sukuna to Yuji's soul, making Yuji his vessel. While Sukuna is trapped within Yuji, he constantly seeks opportunities to take over Yuji's body completely and wreak havoc.

Sukuna's ultimate goal is to regain his full power and dominance over the world, viewing humans as inferior and disposable. He is a major antagonist in the series, constantly posing a threat to the Jujutsu Sorcerers and the world at large.
